ISK's Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Welcome to the PTA pages!

ISK's PTA helps our school create and nurture the rich learning environment in which our children grow.

Here is how we do it:

• Raise funds for "nice-to-have" things, for example, new playground equipment or the most current microscopes. Do so via activities that encourage members to participate, for example, bake sales, the ISK cookbook, holiday market, Summer Jamboree, etc.
• Support teachers in organizing and delivering school activities.
• Build relationships among parents and teachers by providing social opportunities such as coffee mornings and family get-togethers and by demonstrating appreciation for staff and teachers.
• Offer parents and teachers an official platform from which to discuss concerns they believe to be of interest to other parents and teachers.

All parents with children at ISK and all ISK teachers are automatically members of the PTA. Our parents, teachers, staff and students can all take part and have fun. And taking part in PTA activities lets us meet interesting people from different cultures and learn from each other's experiences.

We have planned many great activities for the school year (See our plan and the descriptions of each activity). I hope you will become involved in transforming them from ideas to reality. (One of the best ways to do so is to fill out your pledge form. Click on the link below to see what I mean.)

How You Can Get Involved

There are lots of ways to get involved. Here are some suggestions:

• Attend a Coffee Morning.
• Be a Room Parent.
• Send a treat to school for a Bake Sale.
• Buy ISK Flavors 2008, our international cookbook.
• Fill in our Interest Survey and Pledge Form.
