Central & Eastern European Schools Association
ISK is a proud member of the Central and Eastern Schools Association (CEESA). As such, our secondary students (Grades 6-12) have the opportunity to participate in inter-school events throughout the year. A number of our after-school activities culminate in a trip for students within our CEESA region, including Cross Country, Knowledge Bowl, Football, Basketball, Choir, Speech and Debate, and more.
After School Activities
Summer Camps
Sports, capture the flag and treasure hunt in the forest, water games, archery, ultimate frisbee, American flag football, and many more fun activities. After lunch, we will have an hour of computer coding geared toward each student’s experience level.
Learning Outside the Gates at ISK
At ISK we firmly believe that field trips are a vital extension of our classroom learning, providing unique opportunities for growth, exploration, and real-world connections. In ensuring that these experiences are truly enriching and meaningful for our students, we guide all our field trips by three foundational pillars: Relevance, Impact, and Reflection.
These pillars ensure that each trip is directly aligned with our mission, curriculum goals, and the attributes of the IB Learner Profile. They also ensure that each trip provides a structured opportunity for students to reflect on their experiences, further embedding their learning and sharing their insights with the wider ISK community and beyond.
Relevant: Each field trip is carefully designed to connect directly to our school’s mission, transfer goals, curriculum, and the IB Learner Profile Traits, ensuring that every experience is educationally significant and aligned with our educational ethos.
Impactful: We aim for our field trips to leave a lasting mark on our students, contributing positively to their social, cultural, and emotional development, and helping them grow into well-rounded, empathetic individuals.
Reflective: Following each field trip, students are given a platform to reflect on their experiences, articulate their learnings, and share their insights, both within the ISK community and to a broader audience, reinforcing the value of their experiences and encouraging a culture of thoughtful engagement and communication
