MAD for ISK: the Music, Art & Drama department

The study of the creative arts is instrumental in fostering divergent thinking skills. Creativity leads to finding endless possibilities and solutions to all sorts of problems. Through ISK’s arts program, we teach students the value of perseverance in tackling problems, and students acquire the reflective capacity to question, analyze, and judge. These abilities are clear indicators of success in pursuing other academic and life endeavors.

Did you know? – Research has proven that the creative arts is key to intellectual and personal success, developing:

  • cognitive skills
  • emotional intelligence
  • independent thinking
  • analytical skills
  • creative problem solving
  • communication
  • self-expression
  • mind, body and soul

Employers seek Arts students! They want original and creative problem solvers. Enrich your life and your education by participating actively in ISK’s Music, Art and Drama activities!

After School Activities

At ISK, our school day extends into after school activities for any interested student.  This is the chance for students to explore new things, develop their talents and find new strengths they didn’t know they had.

ISK offers three sessions of ASA’s: Fall, Winter and Spring. Many clubs are led by teachers and staff at ISK, but some are led by coaches/instructors from outside the school community. Ahead of every ASA season, the ASA coordinator sends information about the activities offered and how to sign up.  If you click below, you will see the list and descriptions of what we are currently offering.
